So you want to shop on black friday?
Hi All!
Happy pre-black Friday shopping!
I know, I know, I know! How can I start a blog about being financially responsible and in that same breath talk about the holiday shopping. Well, I work in sales....I am always looking for a good deal and I am realistic. I know people are going to shop, but we can shop responsibly and not put ourselves into debt, right?
Follow the below rules for successful Flack Friday and Holiday Shopping and I promise you will be so happy you did!
- Make a LIST and write down your spend limit
- This is important because let's face it, we are inundated with sales via email, tv, and online know what you want and who you want to shop for so your money is spent wisely.
- Wait 24-48 hours for large purchases
- I just bought this couch on West Elm, but before I did I contemplated it for a whole 24 months, then I went in the store and made a friend with a sales person. I then waited until they had a sale and contacted her ( I got an extra discount). The point is you should really be sure about large purchases and when you are get every discount you can.
- Subscribe for cash back at:
- Remember homemade gifts are a great way to save some money and show your loved ones you care. I am not talented at all so I will be purchasing some candles from my dear friend at Ariels Candle Shop, but if you are crafty by all means make it work for you.
Happy Fiscally Responsible Shopping!!!
